POP Color
In this project you will select a photo from the field trip, park or downtown area that you would like to be in black and white except for one POP of color.
STEP 1
Open one of your most colorful field trip or spring break photos.
STEP 2
Once open copy another layer.

STEP 3
Copy the layer one more time so that there are three copies.
STEP 4
Change the third layer to Black and White
Image >Adjustments>Black & White

At the bottom of the Layers Palette Add a mask to the Black and White layer

STEP 6
Use the paint brush, set the color to black and begin
painting in the area you would like to be in color.

Zoom in and continue painting, make sure you use a smaller brush size
where needed and that the edges of the painted area are crisp and clean.
If you make a mistake painting, change the
color to white and paint over your mistake.

When you are finished painting you can go back to your first background copy and change the Hue and Saturation of the colors if needed.

You MUST complete 5 different Pop Color photos. Save them as jpegs in the Pop Color folder on the V:/ drive.
